As the founders of Anatolian Express, we have laid the foundations of the idea in Istanbul, in the pursuit of a dream. The dream of sharing the creations of the aggregational cultures and the mysteries of Anatolia with the rest of the world. THE STORY BEHIND OUR ART

We would like to introduce you to the special town of Iznik, where the masters of earth and fire have created breathtaking ceramics for centuries. Also known as Nicaea, this is where the soul of Anatolian ceramics comes to life. These incontestably high-quality creations are decorating some of the most important palaces, temples, and They can even be admired in the biggest museums like the Louvre, or the Victoria & Albert... Imagine a handcraft so delicate that it is often an official gift from Ottoman sultans to foreign dignitaries. This is the ceramic we use.

Artisanally handcrafted in İznik by the talented team of Anatolian Express.

The composition of the paste of Iznik ceramics consists mainly of grounded quartz, frit, and non-calcareous clay. Also, pieces are coated with a frit of different colors which then melts during the firing to give ceramics their glistening, protective coat. Each piece is individually brought to life by the hands of our crafters, from the formation to traditional painting styles.

These exceptional creations then meet the first quality bronze plating and attachments handmade by our master crafters in Istanbul. After they are packed with recycled packaging, they are finally ready to be yours.
